A collage of seven Polaroid-style pictures of a woman on vacation in Portugal, with scenic backgrounds of mountains, water, and monuments. The text above says, "I went on a Tinder date in Portugal and he said 'You are not a nomad, you are feral.'" Below, it says, "I took that as a compliment."

Hi,

A person with short hair and wearing a white shirt, navy shorts, and a visor, ascending a rocky cave or canyon entrance with sunlight shining through the opening.

I’m Hillary.

An NYC based, too-tall, plus size, solo traveler, navigating the world while geographically, mathematically, and technologically challenged.

My idea of “luxury” travel is the Big Front seats on a $45 Spirit flight, an Airbnb with a washer, and/or a hotel with a bathrobe (the bleached several times over scratchy kind). My travel approach and style falls somewhere between hostel/backpacker and Balling in Bali.

Living the remote life for the past three years has offered travel opportunities I never imagined possible when getting my first passport at 27 and taking Groupon trips to DR, packing 4 people to a room (though I will forever cherish those trips).

Now 3 years into full time solo travel and living a life I never dreamed of. Slow traveling my way through the world and picking up as many life lessons as I can along the way and sharing them authentically here.

Person standing among ancient stone columns at a historical site with clear blue sky and sunlight casting shadows.
