I had been to Paris once, and while everyone had been kind enough, it is hard not to lean in to the stereotypes of “the French”.

Surprised by how much we had in common and how easy it was to be around her.  We have similar backgrounds; from education and career aspirations, family dynamics, belief systems, even tattoos. 

If we are being honest, had I noticed the name, I probably would have passed by this bar. But the universe knew I was overdue to meet my rebel of a neighbor…
