Best Laptop-Friendly Cafés and Workspaces in Lisbon (2025 Guide)

In the 3.5 years I have spent in and out of Lisbon, I have worked remote in some capacity, from working full time for a company, to free lancing and working on this oh-so-helpful blog you love.

While working from “home” is nice, it is also really good to get out and work from one of Lisbon’s laptop friendly cafes, a coworking space, or even a brewery.

While there are still many laptop friendly locations in Lisbon, there are an increasing number of establishments no longer allowing laptops, so here is your guide to where to find laptop friendly work spaced in Lisbon (with some tasty bites or a crips beer).

Laptop Friendly Cafes in Lisbon

Tease Cafe

🏳️‍🌈LGBTQ+ friendly

🥬Vegetarian Friendly

I went to Tease Cafe on a recommendation from a friend and absolutely loved it. I comfortably sat at this super cute Lisbon cafe for hours working while enjoying some delicious veggie fare, an amazing chocolate desert and espresso. Highly recommend stopping in for lunch, brunch of just enjoying a sweet treat and coffee.

LENA Specialty Coffee

🗺️Av. António Augusto de Aguiar 86, 1069-021 Lisboa, Portugal

🕰️Daily 9a-5p

🌐LENA

I found LENA Specialty Coffee but happy accident when the first place I tried to go did not allow laptops and the second place I tried was closed, and I am so glad I ended up at LENA. It is super laptop friendly with a large open space with numerous tables, ample outlets, comfortable seating and yummy coffee and fresh food to round out the perfect workspace.

I spent several hours here, completely unbothered and surrounded by other digital workers.

Manjerica lisboa

🌐Manjerica Menu

I have not been to Manjerica yet, but it is at the top of my list for my return to Lisbon since my good friend and fellow remote worker raves about it, not only for the food and atmosphere, but also the friendly and kind service.

Marquise da Mobler

🕰️Mon-Fri 9a-6p, Sat-Sun 9a-4pm

💶€€

🥬Vegetarian Friendly

🌐Marquise da Mobler

Marquise da Mobler is laptop friendly, but with restrictions. There are designated times and spaces that are laptop friendly, but there seems to be some flexibility with the times if they aren’t busy. I accidentally came during a “no laptop” time, but asked if it was okay, and they said it was no problem.

This space is so lovely and the food is fresh and yummy with everything from savory dishes to incredible pastries and sweet treats.

Milkees

🗺️R. Filipe Folque 7B, 1050-110 Lisboa, Portugal

🕰️M-F 9a-5p, Sat-Sun 9a-3p

💶€ -€ €

What could possibly make a Lisbon digital work day better than cookies? Nothing.

Especially that ooey, gooey, warm and yummy cookies at Milkees.

Milkees has recently expanded their menu and has some tasty sandwiches and other light bites.

The outdoor patio is laptop friendly and there is a communal table for laptops.

Kossies Cafe

🗺️Largo do Terreirinho 21, 1100-595 Lisboa, Portugal

🕰️Daily 8a-4p

💶€ -€ €

🥬Vegetarian Friendly

🌐Kossies

Very regrettably, I didn’t release Kossies Cafe was just down the street from where I was staying for almost 2 months until I went in to grab a coffee right before I left.

The space is bright and cheery (deceiving from the outside), with a really warm atmosphere and plenty of tables to spend a couple of hours working from. The coffee was great, sweet treats looked amazing, and every plate I saw looked delish, making this a perfect Lisbon laptop friendly cafe.

I will definitely be returning to enjoy the food and comfortable working environment.

Fauna and Flora

🗺️Numerous locations, click here for locations and hours

💶 €–€€

🥬 Vegetarian Friendly

🌐Fauna & Flora (faunafloralisboa.com)

Lisbon’s Fauna & Flora restaurants are little oases in the city, with their calm and peaceful decor and delicious food, these locations are a great place to have breakfast. brunch or lunch. They are also very solo dinner and laptop friendly.

I highly recommend the pumpkin pancakes.

The Whisk Cafe

🕰️Daily 9a-5p, Re-opens 7p-11p on Tues and Thurs

💶€€

🥬Vegetarian Friendly

🌐The Whisk

I am yet to actually go to The Whisk, but have passed it a hundred times. The space is open and inviting, with individual and communal tables and it always seems to have an upbeat vibe. It is clear as to why this is a popular workspace in Lisbon.

My Mother’s Daughter

🗺️Largo de São Sebastião da Pedreira 49, 1050-010 Lisboa, Portugal

🕰️Daily 10a-4:30pm

💶€€

🥬Vegan

🌈LGBTQAI+ friendly

🌐My Mother’s Daughter

This cozy Lisbon vegan restaurant is the perfect place to have an amazing plant base meal while getting a little work done. The space is beautiful and has a calm and welcoming feel to it.

I actually had no intention of working from here, but had my laptop with me and noticed someone else on hers so decided to pull mine out. I was so cozy in this place I didn’t even realize 2 hours had passed until I noticed they were closing.

COMOBÅ

🗺️Rua da Boavista 90, 1200-085 Lisboa, Portugal

🕰️8:30a-6:30p

💶€-€€

🥬Vegetarian Friendly

🌐COMOBA

Serving up everything from pastries to fresh and nutritious bowls and fare trade coffee drinks, COMOBA is a beautiful space in Lisbon to sit with your laptop for a bit.

I found the seating a but uncomfortable, so I wouldn’t recommend planning to stay for too long, but otherwise it is a lovely place to have a bite and get some work done.

Popular Laptop Friendly Chains in Lisbon

It can be tricky to pinpoint which locations are laptop friendly, if they have limited laptop hours or designated tables, etc so sometimes it is nice to have a chain to fall back on, knowing they will always accept laptops, have affordable bites, and convenient locations.

These are some of the most popular chains in Lisbon that are welcoming to digital nomads and remote workers.

Honest Greens

With numerous locations throughout Lisbon, Honest Greens is a popular spot to grab a healthy meal, smoothie, juice, or coffee and hang out with your laptop for a while.

This popular Lisbon digital nomad spot has ample tables, outlets, and wifi to get all your work done in a warm and inviting space.

Copenhagen Coffee Lap

A popular European chain, with 10+ locations in Lisbon, it is likely you will have a Copenhagen Coffee Lab nearby.

These are very popular spots for Lisbon’s remote workers, with a variety of tables to accommodate solo folks or groups. The food and beverage is pretty good, and definitely a bit better than your typical chain, with some elevated options.

My only complaint, is that the table turn over is quite quick, so they aren’t always the cleanest.

Lisbon Laptop Friendly Breweries

Cafes and restaurants are great options for remote work, but if you are on a later time zone, or just prefer a beer and pub fare over coffee and croissants, breweries are a great option.

I prefer to work in breweries because they are designed for longer stays and usually have a chill, cool vibe.

These are some of my favorite laptop friendly breweries in Lisbon:

8A Graça

🗺️R. Damasceno Monteiro 8A, 1170-112 Lisboa

🕰️Sun-Thurs 4p-11p, Fri-Sat 4p-1a

💶€€

🌈LGBTQ+ Friendly

🌐8a Gastropub

I stayed just around the corner from this adorable spot for almost a month and somehow completely missed it! Which may have been a good thing, because I probably would have been there daily.

The owners are so kind and friendly, the beer is tasty and at a great price point. The inside is cute and cozy, but there is also a great patio and as a bonus there is seating across the street with an incredible view overlooking the city.

8a is well wroth the hike up to Graça with your laptop.

Cerveja Canil - Craft Beer

🗺️R. dos Douradores 133, 1100-213 Lisboa (Baixa)

🗺️Rua de Santa Marta 35A (Canil Marquês)

🕰️Mon-Thurs 1p-1a, Fri-Sat 1p-2a, Sun 1p-12a

💶€–€€

🌐Cerveja Canil

Not only are the Cerveja Canil locations laptop friendly, they also have a huge selection of beers, amazing bites (with affordable happy hour prices), great spaces, and super friendly service.

I have been to both locations, and personally preferred the space at Canil Marques as it is bigger, has outdoor seating, and has more of a brewery feel, but you really can’t go wrong at either.

The Queen Ale - Craft Beer Bar

🗺️Largo do Tab. 9, 1150-344 Lisboa

🕰️Sun 3p-11:30p, Mon,-Thurs 1:30p-11:30p, Fri 1:30p-12:30a, Sat 3p-12:30a

💶€–€€

🌐Queen Ale

Don’t let the quaint, little space fool you, for what this place lacks in size it makes up with selection. Afternoons tend to be quiet and the perfect time to post up with a pint and your laptop to get some work done. Good happy hour specials round out the many reasons this spot is worth a visit.

Check the website or IG Page for schedule of events and live performances.

Cerveteca Lisboa

🗺️Av. de Paris 15B, 1000-227 Lisboa, Portugal

🕰️Sun 2:30p-9:30p, Mon-Thurs 12:30p-10:30p, Fri 12:30p-12a, Sat 2:30p-11p

💶€-€€

I came across Cerveteca Lisboa on a very happy accident and happened to arrive during happy hour (buy one, get one free!). Great space to sit and work on your laptop for a bit, enjoy a quick beer, or sit and chat with friends for a while. With it’s very large beer selection, on tab and by bottle and can, there is something for every beer lover at Cerveteca.

Indoor and outdoor seating available.
